Reno(vation) 911! | Weekly Update

One week down, seven to go...

Here I sit in our “studio apartment,” surrounded by everything we could possibly fit in here, sipping my morning coffee that I made in our bathroom and pondering whether or not I should attempt to make a smoothie knowing that I’ll have to wash the blender in the tub.

Oh yeah — it’s a reno, baby.

Last week, I sent out an extremely detailed breakdown of the who, what, where, when, and why of our big renovation, and today, I’m going to give you an update on week one. I’m thinking it’ll be fun to update you guys week by week, but we all know I’ve never been good at staying consistent with content, so don’t hold me to that.

I’m happy to report that this crew moves fast. These guys are working so hard, and I’m so appreciative. Last week, they demoed everything: the entire kitchen, all the flooring throughout the main house, the hallway wall where our coffee nook is going to live, and the laundry room wall to make room for a counter and a sink.

And it was loud.
