The Weekly List: Sephora Sale Edition 💄
I'm not a beauty blogger, but I love makeup.
Hello! If you’re new around here, every Friday, I send a free letter that runs down what I’m reading, watching, listening to, making, and shopping that week. Sometimes there’s a short essay at the top, but usually we dive right into the list.
Today is different, though. Instead of giving you the typical weekly list, I’m going to go over my entire skin and beauty routine in honor of the Sephora sale happening today (October 27) through November 6. I’m not a beauty expert (I can barely do a cat eye), but I love it all and have some tried and true plus new products to share with those that care!
Here’s a quick breakdown of the sale:
Rouge Members get 20% off purchases online from 10/27/23 - 11/6/23. Use code TIMETOSAVE
VIB Members get 15% off purchases online from 10/31/23 - 11/6/23. Use code TIMETOSAVE

Anyone can become an Insider instantly, so the bottom line is that you’ll get 10% off everything starting Halloween day!
Farmacy Clean Bee Facial Cleanser
I’ve been a Farmacy girlie for at least six months now. It started with the cleansing balm (we’ll get to that in a second) and expanded from there. I LOVE the Clean Bee facial cleanser so much. It gets sudsy, smells like honey, and gets your face squeaky clean. It’s simple, and that’s what I like about it.
Farmacy Honey Halo Moisturizer
So creamy. So luscious. Smells like a dream. And doesn’t break me out? We call that a WIN. I love this moisturizer and use it every morning and every night and have gone through a few jars now. It also comes in a mini size for travel that I now “refill” from my full size jar for every trip! So convenient.
I don’t use this every night — I sort of reserve it for nights I’m feeling extra dry. A little goes a long way and feels like velvet on the skin!
Farmacy Clearly Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm
There are two versions of this — the original and then this one that’s fragrance-free. I use this one, and let me tell you — this stuff leaves no trace of makeup behind. I only use it on nights I’m wearing a FULL face, and it literally melts away your makeup. It’s pretty amazing (and a little messy if I’m being honest).
Farmacy Honey Butter Beeswax Lip Balm
One of my besties discovered this and I was immediately on board because #Farmacy. It’s the perfect balm — no scent, no color, no sort of stickiness. It’s hydrating and lovely, and even Zac uses it! I’ll be stocking up on these for sure.
Armani Luminous Silk Foundation
I’ve been using this foundation for YEARS now, and I need you to understand that it is FULLY worth the hype. It’s the best foundation I’ve ever used — I won’t stray. It provides full coverage without looking cakey, stays put all day, and comes in a wide variety of shades so you can find your perfect match. I absolutely adore it. FWIW, I wear shade 6.5 during the fall and winter! Treat yourself to a bottle or maybe even start with the mini size to test drive it.
I don’t own anything from Lady Gaga’s beauty line, but that’s all changing this go-round. I’m in the market for a new concealer and actually tried this stuff on last weekend when my sister was in town. Guys, it’s… phenomenal. The coverage is amazing, the texture is creamy and so easy to maneuver, and there are so many shades. It depends on whether you want your concealer to brighten your eyes or blend in; I thought I wanted it blended, but after trying number 23 (light medium golden), I realized it looks better brighter. I cannot WAIT to receive mine in the mail!
MAKEUP by Mario SoftSculpt Shaping Stick
If you’re a contour novice like me, you need this stick. It couldn’t be easier to use, especially when you use this Sephora buffing blush to apply it. A little goes a LONG way in terms of creating that perfect shadow on your face. I have it in the Medium shade and it’s just perfect. Seriously, if you’ve been wanting to play with contour but aren’t trying to be a Kardashian about it, this is where to start.
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Bronzer
For more casual makeup days when I don’t want to contour but I want a little bit of added color on my face, I just started using this powder bronzer from Hourglass last month and LOVE it. I have it in Luminous Bronze Light and use it in the same exact spots as I do the contour stick; the finish is just totally different and way more subtle.
Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder
I’ve been using this stuff for YEARS and was so excited when she rolled out different shades (I use Honey). She just introduced a talc-free version for sensitive skin, so I’m wondering if maybe that’s something I should try… either way, it’s great. It’s simple. It does it’s job. Period.
Pat McGrath Skin Fetish: Divine Powder Blush
Everything Pat makes is gold and wildly, deeply pigmented so a little goes A LONG ASS WAY. Such is the case for this blush. I’m telling you, a single PAT of your blush brush against this palette is enough. It is so pigmented and so stunning, and you need so so little. I have the Paradise Venus shade, which is a terracotta color (this family of colors looks best on my skin tone) and apply it with the Sephora Pro Blush Brush 99.
This is more of my daily blush. I use the Pat McGrath stuff when I’m doing more involved makeup; otherwise, I use this! I love it so so so much. I have it in the Persimmon shade, which is another sort of soft orange red (i.e. terracotta). It goes on so easily, blends beautifully, and lasts!
My magic product. This is my finisher, if you will. Once everything else is done, I end with a few tiny dabs of this as highlighter and BOOM — I’m a dewy, glowing goddess. I use the Starglow, which is a universal champagne shade. It is the most beautiful highlighter IMO — better than powder for sure.
You may think that using eyelash primer before your mascara doesn’t make a difference, but you’d be wrong. I can’t wear mascara without it anymore — it just doesn’t feel or look the same! Just one coat of this primer helps to prep your lashes and keeps your mascara in place alllllllll day. It’s incredible.
I fucking love an eyeshadow stick. I got this one a few months ago on a whim, and it is just lovely. I have the Solstice, which is a metallize bronze and I may get another shade this sale. We’ll see…
Charlotte Tilbury Legendary Brows
I have tried so many tinted eyebrow gels, and I keep coming back to this. The wand and brush are so delicate and dainty, which is exactly what you need for your brows. You don’t want a thick brush and heavy wand, right? I use this in the dark brown and (I feel like I say this about every product) a little goes a long way!
$70 is steep as fuck for an eyeshadow palette, but I’ve seen this in person and ON my sister’s eyes and it’s pretty incredible quality. The shadows are creamy and have staying power. Plus, when you have this palette, what else could you possibly need? I’m strongly considering it. I want it… real bad.
MAKEUP by Mario Master Matters Eyeshadow Palette
This is the palette I’ve had for a while now and LOOOOOOOVE. It’s only $50 and the same idea as Patrick Ta, HOWEVER the shadows are much more powder-forward than cream-forward. It’s amazing quality — my wedding makeup artist used it on all of us and swears by it, if that’s any kind of endorsement. Love!
Pat McGrath Liquilust Lipstick
This is the Taylor lipstick (SUPPOSEDLY). If you missed my trial run with it on Instagram a few weeks ago, it’s worth tapping through those stories because you’ll see how this shit does. not. come. off. Taylor’s color is Elson 4, which is entirely sold out (of course), but I’ll just say that no matter what color you get, this lipstick is like paint in the best way. Think about it.
Charlotte Tilbury Hyaluronic Happikiss Lipstick Balm
Whatever comes to mind when you hear “lipstick balm,” this is that. It’s literally… a lipstick… balm… and it’s perfect? I’ve already gone through two because I have pretty much proclaimed this as my everyday lipstick when I want something on my lips but for it to look incredibly natural. I use the Pillow Talk shade, which is very different from the Pillow Talk lipstick in terms of color in the best way. The hyaluronic acid legit pumps up your lips just a little bit so they stay plump and cute for hours.
Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick
I own a few of Charlotte’s Matte lipsticks and am adding Walk of No Shame to my collection. I tried it on in-store last weekend and OMG — it is a perfectly gorgeous, everyday red. It’s not super blue. It’s not super orange. It’s a true berry red that you can wear just a swipe of or layer on. This is the only one I don’t own YET but soon!
I believe that covers it all. Keep a lookout because I plan to film myself doing a full face of makeup this weekend so I can share it with you guys early next week! I like to see makeup in action, so I assume y’all do, too.
Have an amazing weekend, and don’t forget that on top of this sale, Madewell is having a secret sale with LTK that is 20% off everything with code LTK20.
Let’s go shopping!
