i have an entire notes section in my phone called "things that annoy me" that are just a list of things like this. I add to it every time something IRL bugs me and its therapeutic to "put it in the burn book"
in defense of quick stander uppers on a plane: Sitting in a tiny chair for hours is not fun. If you’re on the aisle and can snag a little more space for yourself to stretch your legs, good for you! Also if those people are already standing and ready to walk out, guess what? EVERYONE gets to get off the plane more quickly. Someone else standing doesn’t affect you if you want to stay seated!
i get this. my husband does it and has explained it’s because he needs to stretch his legs immediately (he’s almost 6’3”). and he doesn’t block anyone when he does it - he keeps to himself!
I read this at the end of my work day, and it was the perfect little pick-me-up. Just the right amount of rage. Like a fury-fueled flan. Delectable. That bit about stopping in the middle of walking? I will straight mow someone DOWN. But I also have a big heart. Thank you <3
UGH as a teacher here currently at an impasse with our district over a TWO PERCENT raise, I loathe the sentiment that we have it easy or should be able to take the stress/disrespect just because we have summers "off." Plus, the only way for us to move up the pay scale is professional development, so many of us take classes during the summer OR like me, work to supplement our meager income. We do trainings, teach summer school and other programs, take on additional jobs, and plan for new classes. Thanks for the space to RANTTTTTTTTT
Probably will regret outting myself for this 😂, but I literally do not think about what other people are “doing” or who else is around in a shared/public restroom. We’re all here for the same reason! There are enough things to stress about in life that I don’t need to obsess about strangers in a public restroom where we are all there to do our business 😂.
every time you post your opinions, i'm convinced more and more that I need to pack it up and move to Dallas so I can be your bestie and sit on the back porch with margaritas having a big ol' bitch circle. It's so refreshing to know i'm not alone in my opinions 😂
This was a very entertaining newsletter. I had fun responding to all the situations. It made me feel young again... almost like I was intensely engaged with a SEVENTEEN MAGAZINE question/response test. Those used to be the excitement of my LIFE.
OMG - LOVED to see how I am a heartless bitch just like the rest of y'all!!! Favorite Vote - Elevators: I am typically pressing the close door button as fast and hard as possible.
fun fact: i learned via the office ladies podcast that the close door button doesn’t actually work. it’s an illusion. open door does, but not close door

I was going to agree. Tall people get a pass as long as they aren't shoving forward and being in people's way. Otherwise, stfd.😂
The “using a friend’s milestone as excuse to post photos of self” is too real 😂. Thanks for making space for us to gripe.
